Retinitis treatments in Cuba: Retinitis Pigmentosa is a genetic disease that causes a slow deterioration of the vision which can ultimately lead to blindness. The retina is a membrane located inside the eye responsible for sending visual images to the brain. This disease causes a progressive deterioration of the photosensitive cells of the retina. Primary symptoms of the disease normally occur around adulthood but can afflict anyone at any age.

This disease is far more prevalent in southern countries than in Canada but afflicts many Canadians as well. Currently thousands of Canadians suffer from this degenerative disease but unfortunately the medical community in North America believes that there is little or nothing that can be done to treat Retinitis Pigmentosa.

Not only are vision specialists in Canada and The United States discouraging treatment of this disease but the Research Foundation of Canada and the Fighting Blindness Foundation in America cast doubt on the validity of existing treatment methods available in Cuba. This may be due in part to the heavy trade embargos and sanctions The United States has placed on Cuba.

A prominent Cuban physician by the name of Orfilio Pelaez Molina has developed a safe and efficacious method to combat Retinitis Pigmentosa.

Retinitis treatments in Cuba: Thousands of people abroad have benefited from treatment methods that are currently being practiced almost exclusively in Cuba. These clinics in Cuba may in fact be the only hope for people suffering from this disease to arrest the progression of the disease and to regain their vision.

Health Services International offers the opportunity for those interested to travel to Cuba to receive this revolutionary new treatment. Those who have had the courage to make the trip to Cuba to receive the treatment, despite the pessimism voiced by their doctors and specialists, have returned with better vision. In addition to the amelioration of their vision the deterioration of the retina has been arrested and in many cases blindness has been avoided altogether.

The quality of health care in Cuba is on par with the health care available in Canada, the United States, or anywhere else in the world. These Cuban physicians are among the best in the world, dedicated to delivering exceptional and compassionate health care. Retinitis treatments in Cuba
